Sessions are not supervised or led by National Army Museum staff. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session.
Two adults will be permitted to enter with two to four children. Unfortunately, due to capacity restrictions, only one adult will be permitted to enter with one child.
A maximum of four children’s tickets can be purchased per customer, per session.
Adults cannot purchase child tickets for their own use.
Adults are not permitted entry without an accompanying child.
Any child entering a session must have a valid ticket for that session.
Sessions are for one hour and will commence and finish at the given times.
For children using the equipment, the following rules apply for health and safety reasons: shoes, jewellery and badges must be removed; glasses should be removed or if worn they should have shatterproof lenses and/or a retainer; clothing should cover arms and legs; socks must be worn.
For adults attending the session, the following rules apply for health and safety reasons: shoes must be removed; socks must be worn.
Food, chewing gum and hot or carbonated drinks are not permitted in the Play Base area
Water can be consumed within the play base but must be contained in a plastic bottle with sports cap.
Intentional pushing, fighting, colliding, bullying, misuse of play equipment or any kind of behaviour, which is likely to cause injury or distress to another child or adult is not allowed.
Nappy changing and use of potties should be conducted in the bathroom facilities attached to Play Base.
All accidents and injuries must be reported to a Play Base staff member.
All spillages must be reported to a Play Base staff member.
Personal belongings are kept in the Play Base area at the owners' risk. The National Army Museum accepts no liability for misplaced or lost items.
The maximum group size for each Play Base booking is one child with up to one adult, and two to four children with up to two adults. The National Army Museum reserves the right to refuse entry should this rule be exceeded.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to any unsolicited parties. All parties must be booked through our Birthday Party Co-ordinator.
For safeguarding purposes, no filming or photography is allowed in Play Base.
Terms and conditions of sale
Tickets are priced at £7.00 per child, aged 0-8 years old.
Adult do not require tickets but must accompany children for the entirety of the session.
A £1.00 booking fee applies per on-line transaction.
No more than four child tickets can be purchased per customer.
In-venue tickets will be available to purchase on the day of the session, subject to availability.
Tickets booked at the Museum are subject to the same terms and conditions of sale and entry as tickets purchased online.
No booking fee applies to in-venue ticket.
If entry to Play Base is not permitted due to non-compliance with rules of entry tickets will be non-refundable.
Online sales for next-day sessions will close at midnight of the previous day.
Once a purchaser has booked a ticket/s they cannot then book again for the same session.
No refunds or discounts will be given for a whole or partial session not attended.
Tickets are non transferable and non refundable.
Health and safety measures
We encourage the use of the provided hand sanitiser and the attached bathroom facilities for regular hand washing throughout sessions.
Play Base and its attached bathroom and toilet facility is fully cleaned between sessions.
Bikes and scooter are not allowed.
The Museum’s reserved rights
The Museum reserves the right to:
Cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances outside of its control. In these circumstances a full refund will be issued to the ticket holder.
Refuse entry to Play Base if it is deemed that the ticket holder is not meeting the terms and conditions.
Ask anyone, child or adult, to leave the session, if the terms and conditions or rules of Play Base are not being adhered to.
