Join us for a special launch event for this groundbreaking new history of the 1950-53 conflict with the book’s authors, Lord Richard Dannatt and Dr Rob Lyman.

'Korea: War Without End' examines the stand-off between East and West, formed during the Korean War, that would go on to be define the second half of the 20th century.

The book details the chaos of political decision-making at the war's outset and as it progressed. It also considers the effect of the fighting on civilians. While the war was a proxy one between East and West, the people of Korea suffered immensely with approximately 3 million war fatalities and a larger proportional civilian death toll than the Second World War.

This talk will draw parallels to the modern day, exploring what we can learn from the mistakes that led to the Korean War, while also exploring the uneasy truce that still exists to this day on the Korean Peninsula.

Lord Dannatt and Dr Rob Lyman will be in conversation with the National Army Museum’s Director, Brigadier Justin Maciejewski DSO.
