SAS: My Trial by Fire

Join 'Sunday Times' bestselling author Des Powell, in conversation with journalist and former BBC newsreader Simon McCoy, for the launch of his gripping new book.
Following the success of his bestselling 'SAS: Bravo Three Zero', Des Powell now shares a candid new account of his journey from a young man with no qualifications and little formal education to life as a raw recruit in the Paras and then as a member of the elite SAS.
In this exclusive launch event, Des will provide a rare glimpse into the gruelling tests of both the Paras and the SAS, having undergone SAS selection on two separate occasions.
Not only does his extraordinary story highlight the physical and mental challenges involved, it imparts valuable life lessons learnt along the way and explores the depth of the human spirit in extreme situations.
