A soldier leading a tour of Soldier gallery

Join a serving soldier for an exclusive guided tour of the Soldier gallery to celebrate Armed Forces Week.

The gallery explores life as a soldier, from joining up and training to discipline, food and demobilisation, across three centuries of history.

From the demands of Army life to the physical and psychological impacts of combat, as well as the lasting friendships born out of shared service, it shows how the human experience of soldiering has remained remarkably constant.

Second Lieutenant Tom Mcloughlin will bring his own perspective as a serving soldier to the history and personal stories behind the objects in the gallery.
